Old Mill in Valbona Valley

Build more than 100 years ago, the Old Mill in Valbona, with its particular local architecture stands along the Valbona river, in the valley entrance. This attraction is also the last meeting with the Valbona river being that it gets hidden for 25 km along the valley, appearing again at this point and continuing down through Dragobi village and forming Shoshani Canion further on.

The mill is worth visiting simply for its surrounding stunning nature because unfortunately, it lost its functionality nowadays. Around the Albanian Alps, every valley and village has its mills, every quarter has its mill and altogether takes care of its full functionality.

These kinds of mills have been used for cornflour preparation, but nowadays they are not used anymore.
